We are frequently asked why we are getting married in Des Moines!
Emily was born in Omaha but lived in Ames, IA for 7 years for graduate school.
We chose St. Patrick's in Cumming, IA for the ceremony because Emily's grandma Kasey grew up going to this church. Pope John Paul II visited St. Patrick's, along with Living History Farms, in 1979.
Woody (left): Woody is our dumbest and cutest boy. He is like a stuffed animal. We wouldn't trade him for the world!
Donnie (center): Donnie is the best behaved cat. We call him mother because he is always taking care of everyone and never asks for much.
Freddy (right): Freddy is the OG, Emily's first pet ever! Her friend Katie found him in a wheel in the HyVee parking lot in Ames in 2020. He is brave, chatty, sassy, and loves to travel. He has used 4 of his 9 lives.
